How to sponsor a child?
To give a child hope and a future through IPER costs around £140.00 per
year. This is made up of £120.00 sponsorship and approximately £20.00 in
bank transfer fees. All banks will be happy to accept your instructions to
pay a cheque to a foreign organisation, but there will be a money transfer
fee involved. Bank charges vary, but we advise sponsors to make one annual
payment, rather than paying on a monthly or quarterly basis, as this will
minimise the bank fees you have to pay.
Payment is acceptable to IPER either in Indian rupees or US dollars.
Sponsoring is easy. Simply follow these steps:
1.
Email for a sponsorship form by clicking on this link.
2. Complete the form and return it by Email or fax to Savannah Marketing, who will
process your sponsorship application. Fax number: 01787 477871. This is a
free service - all of your sponsorship money (with the exception of bank
charges) goes direct to IPER.
3. You will receive confirmation of your fax either by phone or email.
4. Savannah Marketing will contact IPER on your behalf and make the
necessary arrangements for sponsorship, as well as provide advice regarding
the money transfer if required.
5. Once a child has been selected, IPER will contact you. You'll receive a
picture of your sponsored child with details such as their name, age,
family, and circumstances. If you have any questions about sponsorship,
contact IPER@savannahmarketing.co.uk. What you can expect in return Knowing
that a child's life has been dramatically changed for the better is probably
more than enough, but IPER will keep in regular contact with you.
Initially you will receive a photograph and details of your sponsored child.
You are free to say if you would especially like to sponsor a girl or a boy,
but otherwise IPER will choose the most needy child for you. At regular
intervals (approximately once a quarter) you will receive details about your
sponsored child - how they are progressing, whether they are able to attend
school, their home situation if they are still living with family, and their
general development.
You can keep in touch with your sponsored child as much as you like and are
welcome to send cards, letters, photos of yourself and your family, or small
gifts. If you would like advice on what to write about or the type of gifts
that might be appreciated, contact IPER@savannahmarketing.co.uk |
